I may not be
a great friend,
for I don’t know
how to rescue you
from self-doubt,
but I make sure
that you never
feel invisible
in the crowd
by being the one
who is all ears
without you
having to shout-
you never do.

This is a thoughtful piece; it’s nice to see these kinds of sentiments in the world. Thanks.

I am mostly invisible so I appreciate that you have tuned ears so that I can whisper a comment in the wisps of sorrow’s fog. Only tell me that if I hum, you will sing, because loneliness is an awful thing.

I love how eloquently you have expressed it – our desire and right to be heard! I hope and pray that we always have such people in our lives. I hope that we get to be such people in someone else’s lives! Thank you for your insightful comment.
