I thought
it was time
to make up
with the woman
in the mirror,
so I uncovered
the rusty old
full length mirror,
only to find out
that she still
was not there,
but I could not
bring myself
to mirror her…
I stand there,
year after year,
and wonder if
she, too, waits
on the other side
of the mirror!
