we are the pink
in the black of the night,
a faint whisper
in the ear-splitting noise,
a whole paragraph
squeezed in a single line,
the evening primroses
in the sunflower fields,
a paper napkin
not folded, left misaligned;
are we the folks
ahead of our time?

There’s a very good case to be made for non-conformity. Who wants to be exactly like everyone else? I love your poetry because it stands out in the crowd. I strive to be a non-conformist in many ways. As a silly example, I don’t drink coffee simply because everyone else does. 😀 I guess I’m just weird. This is an awesome poem, Aaysid. I hope you’ll continue to write your unique one-of-a-kind poetry. 🙂

Oh my, a part of me feels bad that you are missing out on coffee, but the other part of me is inspired by your resolve! 😁 Thank you so much, Mike. You are so kind. 😊
