Speechless

I am afraid that some day

I’d run out of things

to say out loud,

but every time

I begin to speak

I feel like as if

all the words

have been said before,

but I utter them anyway,

and feel bad

afterwards for speaking

against my better judgement;

maybe running out of

words to say out loud

wouldn’t be that

bad after all!

  1. My two cents… Every perspective offers us a unique perception, no matter how many times we’ve looked from that exact advantage point before, so long as we remain open to viewing and interpreting newer possibilities. It never hurts to present what one has to offer based upon new experiences but there is always a loss when someone is silenced, even if by choice.

  2. Maybe there is something to the phrase, “silence is golden.” 😆 An interesting and engaging poetic reflection, Aaysid. Love the paired quote! You have a gift with written words. 😊
