Our world
Has always been
Aflood, both literally
And figuratively,
And we drown
In indifference
Every day,
And everyone dies
Because of it
And in spite of it
Either literally
Or figuratively
But I cannot recall
The last tiime
It took this long
For us to see
What we were trying
Not to see,
Were we this dead,
Not literally
But figuratively?

Both, I think. Though, inside of this understanding lies the possibility of disruption, and the creation of new ways of being. Lovely write, Aaysid.

Which way does one look when one sees what one wishes not to believe. I think the questions and indifference may strangle one another. Very deep writing, Aaysid. π
